The Bill Madonna Golf Academy truly recognizes and understands its role as "stewards" of the Game. Recently, the National Golf Foundation, who offers statistical data to the golf industry, stated some "good news - bad news". The good news: the fastest growing segment of the golfing population is the lady golfer. The bad news: this same segment is also leaving the game in record numbers. The BMGA Staff is determined to enhance the good news and eliminate the bad.

Debuting in 2009, led by the efforts the Susan G. Komen Foundation initiative Rally for a Cure, the Academy will offer the Babe Zaharias Ladies Golf Program. Whether it be a golf school, private instruction or a clinic series, the Zaharias Program will offer the lady golfer an opportunity to improve her game while contributing to eliminate the dreadful disease of breast cancer. The BMGA Staff was unanimous in naming this program in honor of one of the world’s greatest athletes and golfer who lost her life to this cancer. Come join us in the fight to eliminate this disease that affects thousands of lives worldwide.

The Zaharias Program

The Bill Madonna Golf Academy understands these facts quite clearly. Our mission at the Academy is very clear to us. Attain and retain the lady golfer! In that light, we are creating and implementing programs that have the lady truly in mind. Part of the new initiatives, is partnering with the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation. The Bill Madonna Academy will employ programs that will support the Komen Foundation’s national awareness program "Rally for a Cure". Our program is dedicated to one of this country’s greatest woman golfers and athletes who lost her life to this tragic disease; Mildred Ella ("Babe") Didrikson Zaharias. The Academy staff is determined to play a part in discovering the cure that affects millions of women around the world by offering fund raising programs that can be generated through Academy instruction whether it be a golf school, private or a corporate outing.
