Golf Schools Philosophy

After 30 years of helping beginners to PGA and LPGA touring professionals, it has become extremely apparent to me that the average golfer needs only to acquire three basic capabilities: solid contact, direction control, and sufficient distance. If you can't hit it, you don't care about direction. If you can hit it, direction is everything and once direction control is repeatable, you want to hit it far enough! Our staff will spend the time needed for you to get these elements under control so you can begin to play with enjoyment and improve with rehearsal and practice. As you develop these all important basics, then you can advance to becoming a single digit handicapper through my 'Four Absolutes' program of instruction.

By measuring your "Four Absolutes" and then just working on the "one position" needing the most correction, you eliminate thinking of too many things and begin playing better right away. "Some teachers believe that you have to get worse before you get better," says Bill. "I am not one of those teachers. Give me or any of my staff instructors an hour, and you will be smarter and, therefore, better.

In golf, technique is more important than talent. Certainly talent will get you up the technique ladder a little more quickly, but good-to-great golf takes a lot more than talent. If it took just athletic talent, Michael Jordan should have won the U.S. Open by now! I develop technique through golf specific drills and the student's crystal clear understanding of absolute fact, not theory. We are all born with varying levels of talent and athleticism and it pretty much doesn't change. However I can change your technique in hour one of a lesson and you will see dramatic improvement."

"Bill is open and friendly with every golfer of all capabilities—from the very best to absolute beginners. He gives you his full attention. His 'Four Absolutes' have really helped me improve and he makes everything easy to understand. My swing now has power and finally, more distance."
